About the event
Issni N'Ourgh ("Golden Crown") is an Amazigh film festival rooted in Agadir that has grown to include an international competition open to filmmakers worldwide, with programming centered on cultural diversity, migration, environmental preservation, and dialogue. The 17th edition runs October 1 to 5, 2026, organized in partnership with the Souss-Massa Region, the Agadir Communal Council, and the Royal Institute of Amazigh Culture (IRCAM).
The Changing World of Moroccan Hammams (dir. Petri Luukkainen, 38 min) screens in the International Competition on Sunday, October 4, at 7:00 PM. The documentary follows Professor Magda Sibley and architect Rachid Haloui as they revisit the traditional hammams of Fez, exploring how age-old traditions endure or disappear in a rapidly changing world.
